There is something special about returning to Fashion Art Toronto every season. Beyond the shows, beyond the collections, and beyond the venues, there is a sense of witnessing a creative community evolve in real time.

Every edition of Fashion Art Toronto feels different; that’s part of what makes it one of the most exciting events on the Canadian Fashion calendar. Season after season, FAT continues to raise the bar, creating experiences that feel larger, more ambitious, and more connected to the city's creative pulse.

This SS26 edition was no exception.

Over the course of a week, Fashion Art Toronto transformed the city into a living runway through five distinct off-site locations, each carrying its own cultural significance and atmosphere. From the abandoned Hudson’s Bay store, a landmark carrying decades of history, to the industrial charm of the Distillery District and the unexpected energy of a basketball court, every location transformed fashion into something immersive and deeply connected to Toronto itself; every venue added a unique layer to the storytelling behind the collections.

The week began on a high note with Fashion Art Toronto’s opening party at Bridal Path, presented in partnership with Maison Perrier. The evening set the tone for what was to come, bringing together designers, creatives, industry professionals, and fashion enthusiasts to celebrate the start of another season. Guests were also treated to a presentation by Lakuachimoto, whose work once again demonstrated the innovative spirit that defines the FAT community.

While the off-site presentations brought fashion into unexpected corners of the city, the on-site shows at T3 Bayside remained at the heart of the Fashion Art Toronto experience. As always, the venue offered much more than runway presentations; the showroom introduced audiences to a new wave of vendors, independent brands, and creative entrepreneurs, creating opportunities for discovery and direct connection.

Alongside the collections, art installations throughout the space added another layer of immersion, reinforcing FAT’s commitment to celebrating creativity in all its forms. Together, these elements transformed T3 Bayside into more than a fashion venue; it became a gathering place where fashion, art, and community could coexist, making the experience feel both inspiring and deeply collaborative.

At the end, the closing celebrations proved just as exciting. To mark the end of the week, attendees gathered at Paros for the official after-party, extending the conversations and connections that had been built throughout the event. The evening drew a vibrant crowd from across Toronto’s creative scene, with even Drake making an appearance among the guests, adding one final unexpected moment to an edition already filled with surprises.

What makes FAT special has never been limited to the runway itself. It is the way the event continuously reimagines how fashion interacts with the city, inviting audiences to experience design in spaces that feel alive, relevant, and deeply connected to Toronto's identity.

The coexistence between established and emerging talent is what gives FAT its unique energy. It is a platform built on opportunity, where creative voices at different stages of their journeys can share the same space and contribute to a larger conversation about the future of fashion.

For one week, Toronto became a canvas for creativity. Fashion moved beyond clothing and became a vehicle for storytelling, self-expression, and connection. The event served as a reminder that Canada’s creative industry continues to grow in both scale and ambition, supported by communities that believe in giving artists, designers, and innovators the visibility they deserve.
